It’s Magic Inside
The San Francisco Giants have announced their 2010 marketing campaign, titled “It’s Magic Inside.” The inside reference is to AT&T Park, of course. Based on some quick research I did on a few of the forum sites, most fans are not too happy with the slogan. Comments like “You’ve got to be freaking kidding me” and “(it’s) amazing that people get paid big bucks to brainstorm something that a 9-year old could do in five minutes” outnumber the positive comments about 5-to-1. I guess it’s better than last year’s “Let’s Play: Your SF Giants Are In Town” or some of the other crappy slogans we’ve seen over the years. The ad agency that came up with the “magic” slogan is San Francisco-based Swirl. Hate mail, complaints, or love notes can be sent to Matt Hofherr, President of Swirl Integrated at 415-276-8306.
