Fred Lewis quotes scripture…then drops f-bombs and death threats on Giants fans

Former San Francisco Giant Fred Lewis took time out from his very busy father’s day weekend to thank the Lord for his father and then tell his haters to “get the **** off his Facebook page.”  He then promptly went out and dropped a fly ball and misjudged another as the Giants beat up on Lewis’ Blue Jays 9-6 on Sunday.

Shortly before he quoted Ephesians 6:1-4, that great Christian crusader Lewis (no relation to C.S. by the way) went on to say on his Facebook page,”If I find you, lord knows what will happen.” Reports elsewhere claim that Lewis called Giants’ fans “fags.”  Former Giants Kevin Frandsen also chimed in on Lewis’ Facebook page, saying “FDOT, remember we are in the same boat the people who hate on what you say or do are jealous of the fact they have to PAY to watch you play. Only way for people to feel good about themselves is to put you down. Let them!! and continue to shove it up there (sic) ass.”

Speaking of shoving things up their asses, one supposed Giants fan — Kunaal Madhavan — shoved his nose so far up Lewis’ tailpipe, you’d think he was trying to score a free autographed jersey or something. Madhavan commented on Lewis’ Facebook page: “I for one want to apologize for all those idiotic good-for-nothing jealous fans. Don’t let them get to you. It should only tell you they are just jealous, that’s all. Sometimes I’m embarrassed to wear the Giants’ orange and black. I’m ashamed by the lies from the organization and the classless fans. I’m sorry this incident led you to deleting your Twitter account.” Damn, Kunaal, you better get your honker checked to make sure you didn’t snap any cartilage or anything.

Lewis was practically given away by the Giants, who traded him to the Blue Jays for a measly $75,000 back in April.

On Sunday, Jays fans got to see a side of Lewis Giants fans have endured for years. Lewis misjudged a liner hit by Juan Uribe in the sixth inning that ended up being credited as an RBI double.  He later dropped a fly ball hit by Aubrey Huff who then scored on a Pat Burrell home run two batters later.

  1. [...] Dropped fly balls and a nondescript offensive performance against one’s former team can be forgiven. But attacking fans on Facebook and Twitter, including calling someone a bundle of sticks? That, and Kevin Frandsen’s subsequent comments show two players who, while probably underutilized as Giants, have the maturity and mental fortitude of a “My Sweet 16″ protagonist. And I forgot to even mention Franny’s comments on KNBR last week, in which he (again) complained about the fans who complained that he talked too much. More on Lewis’ tantrum and Frandsen’s “I got your back, bro,” here. [...]
