Cody Ross to team up with You Tube sensation Keenan Cahill
Keenan Cahill is on everybody’s lips these days. The You Tube phenomenon has sung or lipsynced everything from Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” to 50 Cent’s “Down on Me.” Cahill operates by the name of BeenerKeeKee19952 when he posts videos on You Tube and his channel has over 205 million views and nearly 340,000 subscribers.
Now the 15-year old from Chicago is teaming up with San Francisco Giants outfielder Cody Ross on a new secret video project. He flew down to Arizona earlier today to start filming. (He will also be doing a live dinner show and meet & greet at American Junkie in Scottsdale Saturday night.)
What we do know is that the Giants are teaming up with Keenan by hosting a social media fundraiser at AT&T Park on Wednesday, May 25 when the Florida Marlins come to town. Fans who participate will receive a “Ross is Boss” jersey and a ticket to the game. Plus, the Giants will premier the new, highly-anticipated full video production of Cahill with Ross. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to charity.
We hear that Cahill also filmed with closer Brian Wilson (shocking, I know). Exactly what the video is about or who’s in it (besides Ross, presumably) is still unknown. But you can bet somebody will be “lip syncing the $#*! out of that song.”
Cahill suffers from Maroteaux-Lamy Syndrome, also known as MPS-VI. The inherited disease (which has no cure) is incredibly rare and only 1,100 people in the world are affected by it. And I gotta give it to him. The kid has made the most out of his situation.
Teaming up with the World Champion Giants will surely make Cahill even more popular — and just maybe Ross, too.
