Giants’ 2012 spring training schedule released
The San Francisco Giants have released their tentative schedule for the 2012 Cactus League.
They will begin spring training action against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, Mar. 3 and continue play through Apr. 4.
The Giants will then travel up to the Bay Area and play three games against the Oakland A’s, Apr. 2 and 4 at AT&T Park and Apr. 3 at the O.com Coliseum.
All told, the G-men are scheduled to play 36 exhibition games (8 split squad games). Sixteen games will be played at Scottsdale Stadium, the Giants’ spring training home for 20 years now.
The Giants open the 2012 regular season on Apr. 6 against the NL West champion Arizona Diamondbacks, at Chase Field.
