Hey Giants fans, call me!
One of my favorite non-baseball reads is Mashable, the social media and web news site that recently posted the story about a man in Texas who clocked his wife in the face for not liking his Facebook status. (You can check out that story here.)
I was thinking about the way it makes me feel when someone “likes” one of my posts on Facebook. Pretty good, I must say. It’s a validation of sorts when someone cares enough to click the little “like” button on Facebook, or the Google “+1″ button. It tells me I’m doing a good job. And quite honestly, it motivates me to keep blogging.
Plenty of my articles have gone “unliked” in the past and I think I have chalked it up to either a) lousy topics, or b) overexposure.
You see, there’s a danger in posting too many articles. As a blogger, I have to be careful of what I choose to put on this site. Otherwise, people may tune out. (Don’t worry, I’m not going to punch you in the face like that tool in Texas did to his estranged wife!)
That brings me to the point of this post.
I would really appreciate your feedback on how I’m doing here at 22gigantes.com. I’m coming up on my two-year anniversary in December. The readership has grown tremendously from those first days on the old Blogspot host. I have since moved the site over to WordPress and have worked hard to make the site load faster for you. I’ve blended game stories with personal interest pieces; I hope you’ve enjoyed the evolution.
I still have much to learn.
And that’s why I’d like to hear from you. I recently added a “feedback line” for those of you who prefer to “tell me what you think.” I encourage you to pick up the phone and call me at (865) 224-6521. Let me know your suggestions on how to make 22gigantes.com better. What do you like about the site? What could I do more of or less of? Got a particular topic in mind? Or maybe you just want to prank call me. (I’m up for that, really.)
My plan is to take the best calls and publish the audio files right here on the site from time to time, so dial now and know that I really do care about what you think. Regardless of whether you “like” me or not.
p.s. Feel free to click the little “+1″ button below. ![]()
