According to NBC Bay Area, the San Francisco Giants have signed a new 7-year contract extension with flagship station KNBR.

Giants games have been heard on KNBR since 1978.

In a statement, Giants CEO Larry Baer said:

“The Giants are delighted to extend our partnership with KNBR Radio through 2018. KNBR has played an integral role in the success of our franchise and is our primary link to our fans during Spring Training, the 162‐game regular season, post‐season and the off‐season. It is only fitting that KNBR, one of the great sports stations in the country, continue its long‐standing and successful association with the Giants as we work to deliver the best baseball experience for our fans and the Northern California community.”
