By Mark You're going to wonder why I only reviewed this one at 3 stars after reading the first part of this review. You'll think to yourself, "Hmmmm..."First off, this is a great book on the psychology of fitness, on motivating yourself to get fit consistently and bring real change.Five stars for that. If that is what you want, here's a big dose of it for pocket change.But - The description said "Wesley’s secret boils down to a simple 7 minute workout and a series of superfoods, which when taken together turn your body into an automatic weight loss machine that burns off fat while you're watching TV and even sleeping!"If you were expecting a 7 day fitness program, or for that matter any fitness program within these pages you'll have to content yourself with "jump rope every day in the morning for 7 minutes"... "Hmmm...."At the time I read this book, I did it on a recommendation from a trainer who incidentally has a glowing review in the book.At that time, there were 17 five star reviews, and one four star. Most of the 5 star reviews were people with only this book as their single amazon review. "Hmm...."It's about pushing his 7 day fitness program which in contrast to this $6.45 ebook, will cost you $47, after a "$52 discount", no less. Hmm, again...The before and after pictures on that website show thinner "after" pictures, including the miraculously narrower heads of the people. Photoshop? Hmm....Description said, “You’ll watch the pounds MELT off your body …will throw away your “fat clothes” forever and will be sliding back into your favorite jeans from high school…just by doing a few simple 7 minute exercises and eating DONUTS!”Hmmm.... no matter how many donuts I eat, I can't seem to find my abs...?"The secret 7 minute workout that changes lives" chapter in the book - strangely did not contain one. Apparently, it IS a secret. Hmmm...Then, there's the pushing of a bunch of supplements of at best unproven value as a panacea to sort out your fitness. Hmm...So, eat some maca and jump rope 7 minutes a day, and you'll magically turn into the picture of the ripped superstar that you are supposed to put on the wall where you will see it every day? Yup.5 stars for motivation, 0 stars for practical content beyond that. Averages to what I consider a generous three.The author says that he's totally passionate about you getting results.Maybe so; but offering this book isn't helping his cause. No mention of training beyond jumping rope 7 minutes a day, unless you spend 7x the money for his program, no mention of calories in your quest to lean out, nor how exactly to accomplish the goal, just ample sunshine blown up your perspective.Thanks anyway, I think I'll stick with guys like Tom Venuto when it comes to burning the fat off... though to do that I'll have to actually - gasp - exercise a little longer and give the donuts a miss. 40 of 40 people found the following review helpful. The book also promotes the website which is expensive and requires a monthly payment just under $50. These so called experts are ALWAYS talking about how they want to help but there's always a fee. By Gypsylady The author was upbeat and challenging and I read the book twice straight through. I purchased some food items and started the 30-day program guaranteeing "fat" weight loss.
