Soon events transpire and he is forced to run. Training daily he masters new powers and is forced to fight others with a friend he meets along the way. He does this all in hopes of reaching a new height of power to cure the pain in his heart with revenge. The story has great potential but the authors failed in three main parts. Her first mistake is jumbled facts. She will say one thing then completely forget she said that. Example: he can do one special move but it drains him, then one day later he can do that move and fight 8 guys while not even breaking a sweat. Another example is he was given money by his master but then they say his master never paid him a cent. There are many examples in this book... it is very bad. It almost ruined the entire book because the facts she gives are ones that make and break characters. The other main problem is the repetitive nature in the story. Information established at the very start will be told throughout the entire book more than 30 times. Whole paragraphs are repeated...The last big problem is spelling, missing words and double words. Also the letter "t" is randomly put in sentences... weird. All in all I liked it and will read book two. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Three stars for the book, one star for hope. By Maelstrom78 This is only the second book in this Genre that I have read, and it soars miles above the other author grammatically as well as professionalism. It seems to be a common occurrence for these Authors to have passion and ideas, but they try to jump head first into professional writing, Tinalynge seems to have put more work into that and I hope she continues. She has potential, and I will buy the next book in this series to see if she can flourish and grow as quickly as Xu Min! But please, please, please, pick a name and stick with it! The main characters name changing from one paragraph to the next is quite confusing, but when it happens enough times that you still notice the change but it no longer causes a moment of confusion that is terrible! From what I can see the story is a common theme in this Genre, so if you are a fan or looking to explore the Genre then I highly recommend this book, just brace yourself for the awful grammar and virtual absence of editing. If you can do that, you will find quite an enjoyable read! And as a heads up Xu Min and Yu Hue (I think I spelled that right, if not it's very close.) are the same character. Don't let me down Tinalynge! I will not be as kind if the next book doesn't show dramatic improvements in the areas I mentioned. I look forward to the next book! 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Pretty good, but horrible editing By Nimrod I originally decided to read this because I so thoroughly enjoyed the authors blue phoenix series. While I did enjoy this book I found it lacked the depth and creativity of her other books. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely worth reading, just not sure I would ever read it a second time. Also, it really needed to be proofread. It obviously wasn't or someone just messed up big time. Chapters 16 and 17 are exact duplicates and many times I had to completely stop and reread a sentence to try and figure out the message due to the errors. In my opinion, if I buy your book expecting it to be proofread isn't too much to ask. I would have given it 4 stars, but lack of editing brings it down to 3 stars :( See all 22 customer reviews...
