THE BOOK IS QUITE GREAT By Jenine Hardy Thanks to my friend who brought me to Amazon, and thanks to Amazon for bringing me here and let me see this cookbook. I randomly saw this book when I was looking for some cookbooks, as I’ve said my friends told me to look for them at Amazon.I read a lot of comments below the cookbooks I saw on the screen, and the word “90 recipes ready within 30 minutes” draw my attention.Yeap, because I’m quite busy, so the meals at restaurants become really frequent to me but I was intending to learn to cook some easy and simple dishes in order to cook for myself at home sometimes and sometimes to surprise my friends when we hold the small parties on the weekends, and the recipes that can be cooked at a very short time are what I need.At first the word “pregnancy cookbook” made me hesitate a little (I’m still single and not pregnant), but then soon get that word out of my mind, I decided to have it.I spent about 30 minutes skimming over the book, and talked to myself that “wow, I must learn by heart some recipes in this and give them a try”. Yeap, and I actually learned to cook the grilled beef recipes (the recipe number 4 of chapter 1), and the reason I decided to give it a try first because I saw the ingredients and the instructions are short, just 4 ingredients, and of course I’m a fan of beef, too and my result wasn’t bad, I thought that I could be proud of it. And the second recipe I gave a try was spinach with sesame oil recipe, I found this in the chapter 15, recipes for vegans, I really loved this, it was so easy to follow, and it was really yummy.I haven’t had time to learn more, but my next recipes to learn are the recipes in the chapter for salads cuz I’m a big fan of salads and I hope that all of them will fit my taste. I will give them a try and tell you how they turn out later.THE BOOK IS QUITE GREAT: PREGNANCY COOKBOOK: 90 Recipes Ready Within 30 Minutes. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Another excellent pregnancy book from Melanie! By Tom Bradley If anyone has read her first book, this is a good continuation on the pregnancy topic from her. The author provides readers with various recipes which are nutritious and healthy for pregnant women. The recipes lie across a wide range of ingredients such as beef, chicken, fish, seafood, egg, pasta, etc. There are dishes for all kinds of situations, from meals to dessert, light snacks, smoothies and drinks. She also dedicates a whole chapter for vegans. This section is filled with recipes containing no meat but still providing sufficient nutrients for women. This proves to be really useful as vegans require a more varied diet to make up for the meat that they have forgone. Best of all, these recipes are easy to prepare, as it takes only about 30 minutes for each dish, which is a plus for pregnant women who should rest well to ensure her baby's health. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Love it! Useful! Recommended! By Dawn.D The title took my attention since I have a pregnant sister to take care of. I skimmed through the book, see what it got. The recipes seemed rich and categorized logically. They also seemed simple, fast and easy to prepare. So I bought the book to prepare meals for my sister when I can and for her to prepare meals herself. To my surprise that I loved the book more than I thought. My sister love the meals I’ve been preparing and I prepared in just half an hour. It's exciting each time to pick a recipe and start making meals. This book is like my hand-book now. "I WAS QUITE SATISFIED WITH THIS COOKBOOK. I love most of the recipes recommended in the book. They are tasty and easy to follow. Moreover, the additional information about the nutrition of that food the author gives are really great to know. In the chapter for fishes, besides the step-by-steps instructions of cooking each recipe, I can also know what benefits of omega-3 fatty acids give to health of pregnancy, what are types of fish I should avoid and types of fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids. Yeap, they are informative, and because the omega-3 fatty acids can help my baby smarter later life, I'll definitely give them a try, and add fishes more often to my meals.
