Just when everything seems perfect, it comes to an abrupt halt. She is hospitalized with deadly symptoms ravaging her body and mind, making her totally unrecognizable to family and friends. Only her heroic mother remains constantly by her side. While on the verge of death, Michelle is finally diagnosed. As she fights for her life, she is mercifully placed into a medically-induced coma. At the edge of this abyss, she faces a choice between life and death. How would you choose? Michelle invites you into her soul to see for yourself.

The reader is taken on a wonderful journey of a happy young woman starting out in life and seeming to have it all. Then almost like Dorothy from Kansas being picked up by tornando, Michelle is picked up by the tornado called SJS/TEN and instead of going to Oz, Michelle goes through hell. Her life goes from technicolor to black and white in the blink of a eye, like the movie The Wizard of Oz in reverse. I use a movie reference for a reason. Michelle's story would make a great movie and would be a great way bring more attenton to the SJS/TEN. Michelle wrote this book and I am glad that she and her editor decided to it that way. It was as if Michelle was sitting with you and relaying her very personal story to you. I read the book in one night. I didn't set out to do that but I just did because I was invested in the stroy from reading the forewards to the acknoledgements 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
