22gigantes.com - Hunchback, midget, blind, lame and ugly. Walled in next to a chapel for 14 years; abandoned by her parents at a shrine, she grew in virtue and fame. Her body remains incorrupt. One of the most inspiring stories we have ever read!

This is an AWESOME book By Prophet The Life of Blessed Margaret of Castello is an eye opening life I do not envy but wish I had to courage to live. Her parents because of her deformed appearance at birth had her locked in a cell which over looked a Church. Everyday she would pray and GOD would be her only solace. Then, as if that wasn't cruel enough her parents brought her to another city and then abandoned her there as a little girl. She was told to go and explore the city. She did and at nightfall began calling out.."Mommy...Daddy?" But they were long gone and she was all alone. It breaks my heart just to type that :-( Blessed Margaret of Castello lived a life of exemplary GRACES. She was hideous to look at--(Her words not mine) but her Soul shinned like the sun. IF you want to read something that will uplift you, tug at your heart, and cheer for a underdog of epic proportions then I highly recommend this book.I have a HUGE library of Christian Saints as JESUS CHRIST is my Lord and Savior, of my entire collection, this is one of my prized possessions. I look forward to the day when I can meet Blessed Margaret of Castello in Heaven. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Faith in Adversity By Avidreader This touching story of Blessed Margaret is a lesson of dealing with adversity. She dealt with any situation with extreme faith in God. Her cause for Canonization is ongoing. Interesting life to read. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. What a heroic little woman! By G. Beattie What a heroic little woman, Margaret was. And what a page-turner the book is! Of course, I have nothing else to compare it to (no other biographies of hers or, obviously, personal knowledge). But, in its own rite, I'm not sure what to say other than that the book is very compellingly written. I read its 107 pages in two days and that's only because I started too late in the day to read it in one. Margaret is an awesome testimony to the power of faith and the beauty of redemptive suffering. Everyone needs to hear her story! See all 29 customer reviews...
