Murray Having sponsored children and youth through Hines Ugandan Ministries, it is exciting to see Katherine's story in print. It is an inspiring account of God's love in action through one person making a difference. I didn't previously realize how much loss Katherine overcame earlier in her life. But those experiences prepared her for what she is doing now. A very worthwhile read - the stories of the children will touch your heart! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Loved this book! By Andy G Great book! Loved hearing the stories. Katherine inspired me with her obedience to what God called her to do. I so appreciated her honesty and the amazing love she has shown and continues to show the people of Uganda!! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I love you Kath and thought your book was great. By Amazon Customer I am Kathys younger brother and I heard many of things in the book. Kathy gave up everything to serve our savior, the Christ, Jesus. I really enjoyed the book. Most us Americans have no ideal of the extreme poverty in Africa, and Uganda. Read this book and see for yourself what Kathy and some of her friends have seen. And the many people they help and lead too the Lord. See all 5 customer reviews...
This book will lower you down "into the well" where you can see the needs, hear the voices, and feel the heartbeats of these innocent ones. You'll see how one population of children have been transformed into beautiful and productive young adults, who are a credit to their nation and a testament to the power of Christ. -- Pastor Jim Walters "Bear Valley Church, Lakewood, Colorado" About the Author Katherine has been a missionary in Uganda for over 20 years and has been working in a village called Kamonkoli. She has worked to make a difference in the lives of children and has seen many grow into strong Christian leaders. This is a girl who says she was a “Nobody” but to God she was “Somebody.”
