By JMF Already having read Randi Gunther's first book, "Relationship Saboteurs", we pre-ordered "When Love Stumbles" the moment it was available. Everyone I know that has read "Relationship Saboteurs," a book that describes the ten major destructive behaviors that can ruin relationships, has found they have at least 1/10 behaviors. After such an eye-opening and revealing experience, I wanted a book that would help me use my newfound self-awareness and apply it to the specific, everyday problems all couples face. "When Love Stumbles" does just that. If you're feeling like you've lost that special spark, like you and your partner hurt each other unnecessarily, like you need to make your relationship a priority again, recommit to being a team, or remap your life together, this book helps you and your partner openly share why you fell in love at the start, what caused that love to fade, and what you can do to get it back. I highly recommend it! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A must read for everyone! By Arsineh I wish I had this book years ago - it would have really helped me in my declining relationship. The information I now have from reading it will help me in the future to prevent common mistakes we all make as our relationships fall out of the honeymoon stage. I highly recommend this book to everyone - whether or not you are in a relationship, this information is invaluable. I have also read Dr. Gunther's "Relationship Saboteurs", another must read!! 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Warm and loving book By Judith S. Mishkin When Love Stumbles, How to rediscover love, trust and fulfillment in your relationship by Randi Gunther is the best "self-help" book I have ever read. Even though I did not write in a journal and do all the exercises, I got a lot out of the book. I am sure I would have gotten more out of the book if I had done the exercises, but still it was a positive experience. Her examples are warm and loving. The Quick Check Relationship Excitement Meter was fun to do, adding the numbers in my head, to find the level of excitement in my marriage. I enjoyed the exercise: Please Do's and Please Don'ts List with the examples, followed by numbers on how important they were...I guess I like adding up points. Step One: Go Back to the Beginning of Your Relationship allows one to remember how special your love once was and Step Six: How will you make sure that Excitement Will Always Be Part of Your Relationship was valuable. Whether you are in pain or your relationship is not what you want it to be or you feel o.k., this book will give you tools to improve and repair your relationship. JSM See all 19 customer reviews...
“This is a wise and compassionate approach to helping couples recover from the ordinary ‘stumbles’ they may encounter. I think it will benefit couples who are experiencing breakdowns in communication, need to repair violations of trust, or simply recognize the wear and tear of a no-longer-brand-new relationship. I’d even recommend it as preventative work for couples who are still feeling great about their relationships.” —Dusty Miller, author of Stop Running from Love“When Love Stumbles is a comprehensive roadmap couples in trouble can use to get their relationships back on track.
